It includes health posts, dispensaries, primary healthcare centres, and community-based services. Primary healthcare focuses on basic treatment, immunization, health education, maternal and child health, disease prevention, antenatal care, simple laboratory services, and early detection of health conditions. However, not all health conditions can be managed at the primary level. When a patient requires more advanced diagnosis, specialist review, surgery, admission, emergency obstetric care, blood transfusion, or more sophisticated laboratory and imaging services, the patient should be referred to a secondary healthcare facility.","doi":"10.1234/kgj/art.9","status":"published","section":"Research Articles","published_at":"2026-09-22 11:57:41","authors":[{"city":"","name":"Jonah Emmason","email":"jonahemmanuel001@gmail.com","orcid":"","country":"","department":"","given_name":"Jonah","affiliation":"University of Maiduguri","family_name":"Emmason","is_corresponding":true}],"keywords":["diagnosis","specialist review","surgery","admission","emergency"],"url":"https://nlajournal.org/journal/kogi-journal/article/kgj-2026-00004","pdf_url":"https://nlajournal.org/public/download.php?id=9&type=pdf","views":0,"downloads":0,"issue":{"id":5,"volume":0,"issue_number":0,"year":0,"label":"Vol. 0, No. 0 (0)","url":"https://nlajournal.org/public/issue.php?id=5"},"pages":{"start":16,"end":30}},{"id":6,"title":"ASSESSMENT OF THE USABILITY OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI WEBSITE, BORNO STATE","abstract":"This study, titled Assessment of the Usability of the University of Maiduguri Website, Borno State, examines the functionality, accessibility, navigation, and responsiveness of the university's website as a critical digital platform for communication, information dissemination, and service delivery. The objectives focus on assessing the website's usability by examining its accessibility, navigation, and responsiveness, while the research questions align with these objectives. The study adopts a quasi-experimental research design within a qualitative framework, involving 10 purposively selected Physical and Health Education students out of a population of 845. Participants, chosen based on their digital competency and website usage experience, engaged in structured tasks and guided group discussions to evaluate their interaction with the website. Data collection involved real-time observations and recorded feedback, which were analyzed thematically to extract key insights.","doi":"10.1234/kgj/art.6","status":"published","section":"Research Articles","published_at":"2026-09-22 11:57:41","authors":[{"city":"","name":"Jonah Emmason","email":"jonahemmanuel001@gmail.com","orcid":"","country":"","department":"","given_name":"Jonah","affiliation":"University of Maiduguri","family_name":"Emmason","is_corresponding":true},{"city":"","name":"Musa Isa=haku","email":"musa@nla.or.ng","orcid":"","country":"Nigeria","department":"","given_name":"Musa","affiliation":"University of Jos","family_name":"Isa=haku","is_corresponding":false}],"keywords":["Health","Education","students","research","questions"],"url":"https://nlajournal.org/journal/kogi-journal/article/kgj-2026-00001","pdf_url":"https://nlajournal.org/public/download.php?id=6&type=pdf","views":0,"downloads":0,"issue":{"id":5,"volume":0,"issue_number":0,"year":0,"label":"Vol. 0, No. 0 (0)","url":"https://nlajournal.org/public/issue.php?id=5"},"pages":{"start":1,"end":15}}]}
