Our charging model
There are no submission fees: submitting a manuscript is always free, and editorial decisions never depend on ability to pay. If the journal levies an article processing charge (APC), it applies only after acceptance and supports open-access publication costs: editorial handling, peer-review management, production, hosting, DOI registration and long-term preservation.
What the APC covers
- Editorial screening, peer-review administration and decision handling.
- Copyediting, layout, galley proofing and XML/PDF production.
- DOI registration, indexing deposits and preservation archiving.
- Platform hosting and permanent open hosting of the version of record.
Waivers and discounts
- Authors who cannot afford the APC may request a full or partial waiver before or after acceptance.
- Waiver decisions are made separately from editorial decisions and never influence peer review or acceptance — reviewers do not know who requested one.
- Submit waiver requests from your author dashboard with a brief justification; decisions are communicated before any payment is due.
- Authors from low-income settings and unfunded student authors are particularly encouraged to apply.
Payment
Accepted authors pay securely online — card, bank transfer and supported local gateways depending on the journal. Every payment generates a receipt suitable for institutional reimbursement. For invoices or institutional billing arrangements, contact the editorial office before paying.
Refunds
APCs for published articles are non-refundable. If a charging error occurred, contact the editorial office with your payment reference and manuscript code for review.
