Submission Checklist

Before you press submit

  1. The manuscript matches an article type and length limit in the preparation guideline.
  2. Title page complete: full title, all authors in agreed order, affiliations, corresponding author email, ORCID iDs.
  3. Abstract of the right kind and length (structured 150–250 words for research articles).
  4. 3–6 semicolon-separated keywords chosen for discoverability.
  5. Main text follows IMRAD order with numbered pages and lines.
  6. Every table numbered, titled and footnoted; every figure numbered, captioned and high-resolution with permissions cleared.
  7. References complete, consistently styled, every citation matched to the list, DOIs included.
  8. Declarations present: funding, competing interests, ethics approval and consent, data availability, author contributions.
  9. Acknowledgements included with permission of those named.
  10. Files ready: editable document plus PDF, separate figure files, informative filenames, tracked changes removed.
  11. The work is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and similarity-checked.
  12. You have read the author guidelines, the publication ethics policy and the fees and waiver policy.

At submission

  • Suggest 3–5 independent reviewers with institutional emails and no competing interests (editors decide whether to use them).
  • Write a short cover note stating the article type, originality, and why the work fits this journal.
  • Confirm all co-authors have seen and approved the submission.

After submission

You will receive an acknowledgement with a manuscript code. Track screening, review and production from your author dashboard, and answer revision requests using the revision guide. Manuscripts outside scope or below the presentation threshold may be returned without external review — this is usually fast, so you can improve and resubmit or try elsewhere.
