Use of generative AI

Authors

Authors must disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence in the preparation of a manuscript, in the methods or in the acknowledgements, including the tool and the purpose. Generative AI cannot be listed as an author. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the work, including citations and images.

Reviewers and editors

Reviewers and editors must not use generative AI to write a review, to summarise a manuscript, or to reach an editorial decision. Manuscripts under review are confidential and must not be uploaded to a public AI tool. A human editor makes the decision.

Journal screening

The editorial office may use automated tools to screen scope, metadata, and text similarity. A person reviews the output before any decision. Automated screening does not replace peer review.
