Access model
Journal content is open access and free to read online — no subscription is required. Institutions can additionally register IP ranges for seamless on-campus and proxy access, usage reporting and catalogue integration. Contact the editorial office to register your institution.
Discovery and harvesting
- OAI-PMH: metadata for all published content is harvestable via the OAI-PMH endpoint, for aggregators and discovery services. Sets are organised per journal.
- Sitemap and feeds: machine-readable sitemaps, per-journal sitemaps and RSS feeds expose new issues and articles to search engines and feed readers.
- Google Scholar: every article page carries Highwire Press and Dublin Core citation metadata (title, authors, date, DOI, PDF link) for Scholar indexing.
- Usage statistics: COUNTER-style usage reports are available over the SUSHI API for participating institutions, supporting collection-development decisions.
Cataloguing
- MARC records can be exported per journal for direct ingest into library management systems.
- JATS XML full text is available for text-and-data-mining and preservation pipelines.
- Every article carries a DOI, persistent URLs and complete citation metadata (APA, MLA, Chicago, BibTeX, RIS) suitable for link resolvers, reading lists and LibGuides.
Preservation and archiving
Published content is preserved through LOCKSS-compatible manifests and repository deposits (including Zenodo DOI archiving), guaranteeing long-term availability independent of this platform. There are no post-cancellation access complications: open content stays open.
Support for information literacy
- The reference guide library (author, reviewer and manuscript guides) doubles as teaching material for scholarly communication sessions.
- Training and orientation support for faculty and postgraduate cohorts is available on request.
