Certificates and recognition (step by step)
Completed peer reviews earn formal recognition. This guide shows how to claim it.
Step 1 — Finish and submit the review
Only submitted (not draft) reviews qualify. Confirm the assignment shows completed status on your dashboard.
Step 2 — Download your certificate
- Open the completed assignment or the certificates section of the reviewer portal.
- Click Download certificate for a signed PDF recording the manuscript, journal, and completion date.
- Save it for promotion files, annual reviews and professional registers.
Step 3 — Record the service externally
- Add the review to your ORCID record (peer-review section) where supported.
- List reviewing activity on your CV under service; most institutions weight it in promotion.
- Reviewer activity may also appear on your public reviewer profile where the journal publishes one.
Step 4 — Join the standing panel
Reviewers who deliver thorough, on-time reports are invited to the standing reviewer panel: priority invitations matched to expertise, and eligibility for outstanding-reviewer recognition. Keep your profile's expertise keywords current so matching works.
